Our Story

In Singapore in 1977. It bears hull number 515 of this series and is one of the first models to be constructed in fiberglass, as earlier versions were traditionally built in wood. "The GB36CL is regarded as one of the most successful yacht designs ever conceived. It redefined coastal cruising and spawned the range of boats that we continue to refine to this day". 

We bought La Morgane in 2006 in Mallorca with the goal of a full restoration, inside and out. Our aim was to preserve her original spirit, with just a few modern touches. Together with a custom carbon-fiber ladder and a hot & cold freshwater shower, these upgrades make swimming stops around Mallorca exceptionally comfortable. 

Over the years, La Morgane has sailed all Balearics and extensively along the rugged coasts of northern Spain. In May 2025, she undertook an epic 1,200-mile journey from San Juan de la Arena back to her home in Mallorca, cruising through Galicia, Portugal, the Strait of Gibraltar, and into the Mediterranean. 

She has also participated in the Netflix series “last night at Tremor” . 

Now based at the Real Club Náutico de Palma, she begins a new chapter as a private day-charter boat—with her devoted owner at the helm. A true wooden classic with soul, ready to charm you on the Mediterranean.
